ACHO-SAN

About 20 years ago, in Peru, South America, I fell off a horse and broke a bone. While I was confined to my lodging for a month, I went to this Chinese restaurant every day.
We named the character on the restaurant’s sign—striking a pose with a frying pan in one hand—“Mr. Acho.” It was our go-to spot for comfort; we have nothing but respect for it.
