Chinatsu Higashi

Artist. Based on the concept of "affirming the girlishness within adult women," she does not simply pursue cuteness, but instead chooses the theme of female figures that combine maturity and grace. She expresses her unique world through painting, freely moving between two-dimensional and three-dimensional media, including sugar crafts and art toast. She has collaborated with numerous publications, magazines, apparel brands, confectionery packaging, and media outlets. Since 2015 , she has been creating " NEW WAVE SUGAR, " three-dimensional sugar works based on the traditional Kanazawa confection "Kinkato," with new paintings and decorations . Her art toast series, " #Chinato ," which she began creating during the COVID-19 pandemic, has become a hot topic on social media , and her feminine creative style, which freely moves between two-dimensional and three-dimensional media while incorporating traditional materials and techniques with a modern interpretation, has garnered attention through cafe events and collaborations with international fashion brands. In recent years, she has expanded her activities overseas, including solo exhibitions in Taiwan and participating in exhibitions in South Korea.
