Mellow Ashida
Born in 1973
Resides in Shigaraki-cho, Shiga Prefecture
Paints and makes pottery deep in the mountains of Shiga Prefecture.
Her works are variously described as "cute but dark," "fantastic," "strange," "gentle," and "pop." She travels all over Japan with her works for exhibitions and live painting.
Her days are spent drawing to meet people, and meeting people to draw.
